Overview

Windsor Financial Advisors was founded in 1995. The firm’s mission is to provide rigorous quantitative money management services to both individual and institutional clients. The firm’s founder, Jim Bernstein has nearly twenty years of money management experience.

Currently residing in Princeton, New Jersey, Jim graduated from Vassar College in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in economics. He began his Wall Street career as an institutional government bond broker for Liberty Brokerage, Inc. developing and implementing complex trading and hedging strategies for the government bond traders. Jim later worked for Shearson, Lehman Brothers, and Smith Barney (both now part of Citigroup) as an institutional financial futures salesman and for Garban Ltd. as an institutional government bond broker.

In the fall of 1991, Jim took some time off from Wall Street to continue his education. He attended New York University’s Stern School of Business, and in 1993, received his Master’s degree in Business Administration. In 1994, Jim returned to Wall Street where he traded a multimillion dollar fixed income arbitrage portfolio for a Hong Kong-based hedge fund. In 1995, Jim left the hedge fund to found Windsor Financial Advisors Inc.

Jim is an active member of the Princeton Corridor Rotary Club. He currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer of its foundation, whose goal is to make charitable contributions both locally and globally.
